Comments from Moms about Developmental Movement Therapy

Three weeks ago Shelby started making progress by leaps and bounds, when she sat up for the first time from lying down.  A few days later she was army crawling and just last week, a few days before she turned one, she started crawling on all fours. She is a brand new little girl. She has so much self-confidence now and is so proud of herself.  Thanks for all your help.  During the past few months we have been working with her a lot on the things that you showed us.

As a new mother of an adopted baby, I found Catherine an invaluable source of support and information through the challenging first three months together.  The simple movement techniques we learned helped my daughter move through a developmental hurdle and become the happy, healthy toddler she is today.

We came to see Catherine because our son Torger was unhappy on his tummy and as a result not exploring with rolling over, crawling or getting into a sitting position from lying down. On our first visit Torger would immediately roll to his back when placed on his tummy. Catherine worked with him and also taught us techniques so that we could work with him at home. By our next visit Torger was spending 15 minutes at a time on his tummy! Soon after our second visit Torger began sitting up on his own, and crawling! Catherine did a fantastic job listening to our specific concerns and responding to Torger's individual preferences. Her at-home instruction sheets were detailed and a great aide in helping us know what to do with him. Catherine is a trusted resource for our growing family!
