Upcoming workshops

Evidence Based Birth® workshops for parents are offered at various locations and times around the Twin Cities, so find what works best for you. A pregnant woman and her birth partner are strongly encouraged to attend together.

You may want to take this workshop early in your pregnancy as you are beginning to dream and decide about your care during birth — and during your pregnancy. Choose your provider for best practice and best fit to your values early.  Getting to know your care provider personally gives women feelings of safety and trust during birth. That said, it is never to late in your pregnancy to evaluate who will provide you with the best care for yourself and your baby.

Bring a full meal and beverages for yourselves when workshop times coincide with your meal times. Mamas growing a baby need to eat meals plus snacks. If you need a full meal, bring your favorite takeout or home cooking. Partners are welcome to BYOB for venues labeled Date Night or Date Outing. Sparkling drinks will be provided for moms, along with light snacks.

Prices & perks

The cost for this 3:00 workshop is $60 per couple.  All couples receive access to the online Evidence Based Birth® parent class, a video series led by Rebecca Dekker, nurse researcher and originator of our workshop.  After our course, you can return to the online parent classes anytime to refresh your understanding of the science behind best practices for mothers and babies. You can use this for talking points with folks in your life who are concerned about the well-being of you and your baby as you plan your birth.
