More satisfaction at birth
Finally we have research coming in about how women can have better experiences at birth. After years of doulas bringing Spinning Babies® into the birth room, studies are showing how valuable these activities are.
When your partner, your doula, your nurse or your midwife spend time with you, help you change positions, and encourage the body’s natural process, they make a world of difference. Multiple studies show that when laboring women are supported in positions that align with their baby’s physiology, they often experience shorter, smoother labors with fewer interventions. The clear guidance provided by Spinning Babies helps mothers and babies have easier births.

Birthworkers are more satisfied too
In her study, Bridget Funk, Ph.D., CNE, C-ONQS, RN, in the International Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecological Nursing also found that nurses and midwives felt more confident in guiding labor when Spinning Babies® movements are part of birth. Nurses and midwives trained in Spinning Babies® increased their self-efficacy scores from 79% to 95% after this training.
